Service๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐ŸคSo, I don’t think this should be taken personally, but when we arrived, it was full of departing guests, so the doormen were all occupied, so we weren’t not as properly greeted. But this was quickly after rectified.
Accommodation๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐ŸคWe stayed at the Huen Bon Suite which was on the second floor. Sleek and simple design, showcasing a low key elegance. The pantry was out on the balcony, which would have been a lovely idea, except for the period when we were there, it was one of the hottest periods in the region so it wasn’t pleasant to spend time on the balcony.
Cleanliness๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐ŸคImpeccable housekeeping.
Dining๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐ŸคWe only really had breakfast at the hotel. It was made-to-order; which I really liked, as you know that the food would always be freshly made. Good variety of options of Thai / Western.
Amenities๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐ŸคWe used the gym once, it was small but good enough for a quick burn in the morning.
Location๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐ŸคBeing more northwards means a bit far from the old town where all the happenings are. But traffic in Chiang Mai is not nearly as bad as Bangkok, so Grabbing in and out was breezy. Don’t let the location put you off!
Value for Money๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐ŸคIt was on stay 3 for 2 promotion when we were there, so it was good value for money. However, this is definitely more of a boutique hotel vibes, so everything is cosier. If you enjoy a hotel with a broad range of service (e.g. kids club; big pools, etc), you may have to look elsewhere.
Overall Experience๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐ŸคWe definitely enjoyed our stay here, and love that it is a bit further out so we could enjoy some peaceful nights. We like the decor but agree that it lacks a luxury touch – it carries a more contemporary sleek, minimalist impression, which Reynolds and I appreciate (although not our favourite). All in all, I’d revisit if I come to Chiang Mai again, however, I would also give a chance to Raya Heritage’s sister property in the Old Town – Tamarind Village, just to get a sense of how it is being in the heart of Chiang Mai.
